How the Fondation Bon Sauveur de Bégard simplified the management of its sensitive access ?
Success story
Fondation Bon sauveur
- 800 employees, 5 in the IT department
- Healthcare
- Public sector
- National
With its Specialist Hospital Centre and its social and medico-social facilities located in the Côtes d'Armor, the Mental Health Division of the Fondation Bon Sauveur de Bégard currently employs 800 people.
Dimitri Martinescu, CIO, manages alongside his five-person team more than 600 workstations, around one hundred printers and approximately one hundred servers, not to mention a growing number of mobile devices. Indeed, the ongoing health crisis accelerated the development of communication solutions between patients and their loved ones, based notably on tablet devices.
Before adopting Rubycat's solution, how did the Foundation manage external user access to the information system ?
The Foundation works with around ten external providers who require privileged access to our information system. Until now, interventions had to be scheduled in advance in order to grant the necessary permissions to remote maintenance technicians. At the end of each working day, we ensured that all access was revoked. The process was far from optimal and lacked flexibility for those involved.
How did you discover PROVE IT ?
I was not actively monitoring this topic. Although I was aware that solutions existed, they did not seem financially compatible with our budgets, and appeared too complex to administer for an organisation of our size.
However, I came across a webinar proposal on the PROVE IT privileged access management solution, which I attended. I know that since then, webinars have also been offered through CAIH, a purchasing centre for IT in the hospital sector.
How did things progress from there ?
I immediately understood during the webinar that this was exactly what we needed. Every signal was positive: the solution perfectly matched our requirements, we could test it easily thanks to the POC on offer, and the pricing was accessible.
We therefore quickly installed the solution to put it to the test.
The fact of going through a POC (Proof of Concept) is very reassuring and confidence-inspiring in a relationship with a provider. You test it, and only commit contractually if the solution truly suits your needs.
So the trial was conclusive ?
Indeed. We were able to take full advantage of all of PROVE IT's highly relevant features, and as expected, installation and onboarding were very straightforward.
All external user connections are secured ; we are immediately notified when new connections are established, and we are also alerted when an intervention has ended. We can even monitor or interrupt these connections in real time, and review them after the fact if necessary.
The cherry on top: the solution is Breton-made and holds the CSPN Security Visa certification from ANSSI.
For us, this represents an undeniable gain in time, efficiency and peace of mind.
